IBM conducted the training from 18th -20th Jan 2012 on DB2 (Database Software). Mr. Ravindra Kundu, a Trainer from IBM conducted this training program. Students of SGI participated in this training and enjoyed the technical session.

IBM conducted the training from 23rd -27th Jan 2012 on Lotus collaboration software. A trainer from IBM, Mr.Adnan Khan conducted this training program and practical session. Students of SGI participated in this training.

All the three Institutes of SGI (SIRT, SIRT-S, SIRT-E) constituted of forty seven students went on an educational tour to Chandigarh and Manali.

The students visited industries like HMT and Bhushan Power &Steel Industries in Chandigarh. During the visit they learned about the latest techniques used by such companies in HR, Marketing and Finance.

The students were accompanied by Prof Sheetal Singh, Prof. Akash Tiwari and Prof. Shlipa Bhatnagar.

Advisor MBA, SGI Prof V.P. Singh advised the students to get more industry exposure so as to learn intricacies of the management. Chairman Er. Sanjeev Agarwal waived them best of their career.

Students of VII semester IT Branch namely Sindhu K.S, Parul Priya and Shweta Agrawal are proudly honored by Chancellor’s Scholarship Award by Honorable Governor of M.P Mr. Ram Naresh Yadav.

Sagar Institute of Research & Technology – Excellence conducted RAD software certification programme in association with IBM. 60 students of SGI appeared in the test and passed the certification programme with flying colors.

IBM conducted the training from 17th -20th Oct 2011 on Rational Application developer (RAD).Mr. Vinod Patidar, Consultant of web tech conducted the session during this training program. भोपाल। एसआईआरटी ऐक्सीलेंस (एस.आई.आर.टी.एस.) में भारतीय मूल के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खयाति प्राप्त कम्प्यूटर क्षेत्र के अग्रणी लेखक एवं इंटरप्रेनेयोर श्री यद्गावंत कानितकर एवं माइक्रोसाफ्‌ट इनकार्पोरेद्गान में वर्षों से कार्य करने वाले श्री असंग दानी के पूर्ण व्याखयानों को आयोजित किया गया। व्याखयान एसआईआरटी ऐक्सीलेंस कॉलेज द्वारा आयोजित सेमिनार 'बेक टू द फ्‌यूचर' पर दिये गये। सेमिनार में भोपाल के अधिकांद्गा इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजों से लगभग दो हजार विघार्थियों ने भाग लिया। श्री कानितकर ने 'सी प्रोग्रामिंग लैंग्वेज' के महत्व एवं उपयोगिताओं को समझाते हुए छात्रों को अनेक गूढ़ विषयों पर जानकारी प्रदान की, जो अन्य किसी माध्यम से लेना संभव नहीं है। श्री असंग दानी ने छात्रों को मोबाइल हैंडसेट की प्रोग्रामिंग को अत्यंत सरल ढंग से समझाते हुए छात्रों को ये विद्गवास दिलाया कि यहां के इंजीनियरिंग के छात्र ऐसे क्लिष्ट विषयों को सीखकर पूरी दुनिया में अपने संस्थान एवं खुद का नाम रोद्गान कर सकते हैं। छात्रों की विद्गोष मांग एवं उनके उत्साह को देखते हुए श्री कानितकर ने अपने व्याखयान को एक घंटे अतिरिक्त बढ ा दिया। अंत में छात्रों की प्रद्गनावली के साथ श्री कानितकर ने यह विद्गवास दिलाया कि इस

समय कम्प्यूटर साइंस एवं इनफॉरमेंद्गान टेक्नॉलाजी दोनों ब्रांचेज दुनिया में अभी भी नंबर १ पर कायम है। एवं उन्होंने यह आव्हान किया कि ज्यादा से ज्यादा छात्रों को कम्प्यूटर साइंस एवं इनफॉरमेंद्गान टेक्नॉलाजी जैसी बं्राच में अध्ययन करना नितांत आवद्गयक है। कार्यक्रम के प्रारंभ में गु्रप के चैयरमेन इंजीनियर श्री संजीव अग्रवाल ने श्री यद्गावंत कानितकर एवं असंग दानी का स्वागत किया एवं अंत में आभार व्यक्त करते हुए इसे एसआरआईटी-ऐक्सीलेंस कॉलेज के इतिहास में इसे महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि बताया।

Seminar on "Back to the Future" by Yashwant Kanetkar (A famous author and Entrepreneur ) on 10 Sept. 2011 and "Compiler Design" by O.G Kakde on 28 Sept. 2011 at SIRT-E, Bhopal.

Yashavant P. Kanetkar is an Indian computer science author, known for his books on programming languages.

He has authored several books on topics such as C, C++, VC++, C#, .NET, DirectX and COM programming. He is also a popular speaker on various technology subjects and is a regular columnist for publications Express Computers and Developer 2.0. His best-selling books include Let Us C, Understanding Pointers In C and Test Your C Skills. These books are specific to the long outdated Turbo C compilers, and do not contain reliable information on standard C language. He has created, molded and groomed many of IT professionals in the last decade and half. He has been awarded the "Best .NET Technical Contributor" and "Microsoft Most Valuable Professional" awards by Microsoft.His books still remain popular inside the Indian Subcontinent and is one of the major materials for IT companies placement preparation.

He has obtained his B.E. from VJTI, Mumbai and M.Tech from IIT Kanpur. His current affiliations include being Director of KICIT, a training company and KSET both based in Nagpur.
