CSE graduates can make a career in every area such as Smartphone applications, networking, animations, gaming, scientific applications, Internet engineering, etc. Most of the blue chip companies of world such as IBM, Wipro, TCS, Microsoft, Infosys, recruit thousands of students in CS branch in every year. The Department has a comprehensive curriculum as per the guidelines of RGPV which includes topics related to all aspects of Computer Hardware and Software with an emphasis on practical learning. The department also provides outstanding research guidance to M. Tech. students by senior faculty having more than 10 years of experience in the areas including the Networks Security, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Image Processing, Ad-hoc Networks, Soft Computing, etc. The teaching aids used are conventional black/white boards, overhead projectors (OHP), LCDs and series of lectures available at NPTEL. Student chapters like CSI (Computer Society of India) function in the department. It has consistently fulfilled its role of producing Computer Engineers ready to satisfy the needs of the IT world. Alumni of the CSE department occupy top positions in Industries throughout the world.

Dr. Kalpana Rai received B.E. & M.Tech Degree with specialization in Computer Science & Engineering from Nagpur University (MS) & Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal (MP) and completed her Ph.D in Computer Science & Engineering. She has over 20 years of teaching experience. She is working in Sagar Institute of Research & Technology- Excellence in various capacities. During the course of her 20 Years of experience, she has published many papers in National and International Journals. She is the Editor & Reviewer of Many International Journals of repute. She is member of CSI, ISTE & IETE. Her area of specialization includes Image Processing, Web Engineering, Data Mining, Big Data and Cloud Computing.
