Diploma in Computer Science (CS) was introduced in SIRTE during the academic year 2023-24, offering 60 seats. The program spans three years, divided into six semesters, each lasting six months. Its curriculum encompasses essential subjects such as programming languages (C, C++, Java and Python), data structures, algorithms, database management systems, operating systems, computer networks, web development, software engineering, and cyber security.
Emphasis is placed on practical learning, facilitated through laboratory sessions, projects, and internships, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios effectively. Upon successful completion, diploma students find diverse career opportunities in both the public and private sectors. They can pursue roles such as software developers, system analysts, database administrators, network engineers, cyber security specialists, and web developers. Additionally, they may opt for further studies like B.Tech. or specialized certifications to enhance their career prospects and expertise in various computer science domains.
